Preparation

Full day coverage starts with the photographer arriving during the Bridal Preparation. During this part of the day, the focus is on the couples as individuals with their family members and friends. You spent a lot of precious time on selecting the details of your attire and I make sure these details are captured with the care they were chosen with.

I photograph the Brides with bridesmaids and family members as they prepare for the event. Alongside plenty of candid shots, I take portraits of the bride alone, showing beautiful details of the dress, flowers, jewelry and everything else that is important to the bride.

Where possible or with a help from the second shooter, Grooms are also photographed with families and groomsmen. Portraits of the groom alone are taken and include details and a variety of poses. This part of the day usually ends after Bride's Father's arrival and the Bride starts making her way to the Ceremony.

Ceremony

Ceremonies vary a lot depending on couples religious believes, traditions and preferences. They can take anywhere from 20 minutes to a full hour or even longer. Depending on where the Ceremony takes place, there might be some restrictions regarding a use of flash or a spot from which photos can be taken. I start with taking photos of the guests, the Groom with his groomsmen awaiting Bride's arrival and then Bride's arrival itself. This is followed by Bride walking down the isle, the Ceremony itself with speeches by the officiant and a few readers, the exchange of vows, exchange of wedding rings, and the first kiss. The marriage certificate is signed as either a part of the ceremony or separately, and the happy couple is now officially married.

Formals and Group Photos

As much as I always encourage my couples to have some formal and group photos, how many photos of this type within a time frame you wish to have, is almost entirely up to them. Formal portraits on the wedding day will include the couple with each of their families, friends, bridal party and groomsmen and the couple alone. Generally, group photos are taken at the ceremony venue, as well as at the reception site or a specifically chosen location.

Bride and Groom Alone

After the formal group photos are taken, I spend some time with the couple alone to capture first portraits of newly wed. This takes place anywhere at the venue or at specifically chosen location. I make sure this part of the wedding coverage doesn't take too long, yet leaves the couple with a selection of timeless and beautiful photographs.

The celebration often lasts a few hours and includes introductions, speeches, cake cutting, firs dance and may include any number of formalities or entertainment.

Reception photojournalism captures the fun and exciting atmosphere of a good party with photos of people dancing, laughing, and enjoying themselves.
